Located in the heart of Olhão, this architectural intervention consisted of the extension of an existing house, through the construction of a new floor that respects and enhances the Mediterranean identity of the region. The project introduces a bedroom with a private balcony, a bathroom illuminated by a generous skylight, and an outdoor living area that invites relaxation in the open air, fully embracing the natural light characteristic of the Algarve.
The new volume integrates harmoniously into the urban landscape, with simple, white, and soft lines that reflect the local architectural tradition, while incorporating contemporary elements that prioritize functionality and comfort. The abundant natural light, combined with cross ventilation and a careful selection of materials, gives the spaces a light, fresh, and welcoming atmosphere — ideal for year-round peaceful and comfortable living.
